REVIEW ;

This movie doesn,t have the same impact as the 1st movie did but it has improved on it,s character development ( with more from Drax and Yondu ) but the story mostly centers on Peter Quill,s ( Chris Pratt ) and his “dad” Ego ( played by Curt Russell ) . The Humor carrys this film and helps a slow 2ad act in which could have been used to add more to the expanding universe or edited out completely .

However the 3rd act makes up for the slow middle of the film , a lot of well placed cameos in the film is Great and the use of the 80s music ( Awesome mixtape vol#2 ) was ok but the choices of songs could have been better . But it was Michael Rooker  ( Yondu ) who stole the movie and made it worth my while watching it, bringing in everything to full circle to why he took Peter Quill in the 1st place and his relationship with him soon after , even though I liked “baby ” groot and Mantis , it was yondu who was at his best . For me the movie left me with more questions that I felt that could have been answered within this film .

OVERALL :

The film delivers what it intends , a fun ride and a lot of laughs .. 4 out of 5 stars ! Go see and enjoy .
